Drifting
I can see a coming torrent
Drifting slowly ever closer
Drifting slowly ever closer
Drifting onward through the day
And the sky takes on a darkness
That is darkness, yet not lightless
It's almost a transition
From the night into the day
But this transition is the inverse
Of the above and forementioned
For we are playing in a world
That is flat in three dimensions
So we glide across the surface
Trying not to shift the balance
Trying not to disturb silence
Trying hard just to prevail
So inhale slightly, swiftly
For the air is growing colder
And the torrent is approaching
Drifting slowly ever closer
