School is Cool

The blankets toast my cool body.
Do I like school? The mattress engulfs my burdens.
I wish I could linger for a little longer.
My eyelids yearning to close.
Do I like school? My fingers needing a break.
My energy depleting from Pre-Calc.
Laughs and stories in an unproductive study hall.
Do I like school? Cheers and excitement during Friday Night Lights.
Fulfillment and “congratulations” after Basketball.
Do I like school? I love it.
