silence, if it's all you have to say.
numb, if it's all you have to feel.
distance, if it's all you have to possess.
waiting for rain.
looking for sun.
thunder cracks whips
and somehow we're hit.
twice the decisions
and all the more sores.
better your listening
as you lie on this cold floor.
the best, if you can choose to believe.
the chance, if you have the faith to see.
and the hope that you'll look closely, too;
waiting for something, as deafness reigns through.
