Blazing Glory

Luscious flames curl
around the contours of
my heart, the heat
threatening to allow it
to combust
into embers.

So bright is the fire,
tempting the wildcat
within me to break free
of its boundaries,
roll around in
the ashes.

And there you are
stoking it ever so violently,
egging it on, begging
the flames to come forth,
reduce you to
cinders.

Oh, does the fire howl,
reaching its hot fingers for
your flesh, wondering
what lies beneath the
blistered skin, the essence
of you.

This is a poem I wrote while I was going through a lot of emotional turmoil with a boy at my school. Feel free to relate xD
