With My Eyes Wide Open
With my eyes wide open, I can't feel a thing.
Could the comfort of a song end the suffering?
Would anyone listen if I sang something new?
If I spoke a few words heartfelt and true?
Can one man make a difference?
Your eyes are wide open, but you choose not to see.
Forget all the hate, ignore the tragedy.
Maybe we're both naive, but at least you're happy.
I wish I could be like that, but is it worth being blind?
Can one man make a difference?
