The Meaning of Life

why do we ponder the meaning of
life?
why must we have a finite answer
to all of our questions?
--why are we here?
--why do we feel?
--who are we really?
why can we not surrender ourselves
to the simple truth:
we are here.
we feel.

we laugh. we love. we live.
we are who we are.

why is it that those who
understand the most are often
the least content?
