I come into this world so strange and bright,
I didn't even get a glimpse of true life.
A cage surrounds me, as tight as can be,
I look around at the others just like me.
I stare at them with questioning eyes,
What is this place? what is happening? Will we ever see the sky?
The stare back at me with fear as we wait,
I understand now, they know my fate.
All of our fates, as terrible as they may be,
It explains why I'm here and why a man is coming towards me.
I try to run from him in my little space,
I turn around to look at his face.
There is no soul, no care about my life,
I realize this as he reaches for his knife.
Before he kills me I shed a single tear,
I won't get to live to see a year.
Why is he doing this? What have I done wrong?
Everyone knows I have done nothing, but to him I'm just meat.
All I am good for is being something to eat.

I wrote this in the cow's point of view to show a powerfull message about vegetarianism.

That's cool that you can express how it would be getting killed from a cow's point of view. That was an emotional piece. Keep it up! :)
