sunlight even and unbroken
flowing and setting
on the fields turned golden
warmed by the summer heat

blue sky wide
big that brings
me awe

you always said
awe was a hollow
feeling of pure
and unmarked
beauty

we were running
free then
the fields were home
a sanctuary that

goodbye seemed too sad
