you dream of what could be
and yet you couldn't see
you sit there and wish
what if?
well what if your wish was me?
could that be?
as the days go by
you begin to cry
and as the winter melts away
you begin to sway
i think this could be it
the end of this loveless pit

you miss the smell
it's like a spell
you say you're out
you have no doubt
and yet you still wish
what if?
