What's the point?
My bed's warm and soft.
You don't have to look good to be in bed.
You don't have to be smart,
Sociable,
Happy,
Or composed to be in bed.
You don't have to pretend to be something you're not to be in bed.
That's the best part about a bed.
Beds don't care.
They don't care if you don't talk to them.
They don't care if you cry in front of them.
They just don't care.
And so I ask you,
What's the point of getting up today?
What's the point of getting up if all you do is be late,
Have no one listen to you,
Eat crappy food,
Fail school,
Get muddy,
Have bad hair days,
Listen to people who have no respect for you,
Get made fun of,
Rejected,
Pushed around,
Disrespected,
Put down,
Ignored,
Sick,
Upset,
Frightened,
Frustrated,
Irritated,
Confused,
And feel unwanted.
What's the point?
I'm pulling the sheets over my head and going back to sleep …
