Lost in the Image This work has been published in the Teen Ink monthly print magazine.

By
centered around
stereotyped ideals
the greed
and piety
slowly strangle
every independent ounce
of unique
the world drinks conformity
and is intoxicated by the
appeal
I crave sobriety from it
I want
to taste the smells of another
lifestyle - break the bindings
and see
through different eyes
but I am lost
in fabricated threads
and my voice is drowned out
by whispers
of cool
