Silence, Seamstress This work has been published in the Teen Ink monthly print magazine.

Silence stitched
Lightly, quickly
Sewing me tightly
Into my skin

Blanketing me in
Dewy darkness
It threaded songs
Into my head

When I could again
Open my eyes
The air was no different
But the song had changed

(And new cotton hung from me)

Strange, I never knew
The lyrics of this melody
