in a corner of a corn field,
he ate a husk string by string
peeling with dirty fingernails
in the corner of the corner
he buried the cob
with its side side up
he slept with his back bent
like the side of that freedom box
in a corner of a corner of a corner
of a cornfield,
he found the core.
