A shining void
Of endless depth
Beneath a heavy lid
After a rending breath
The lightning dims
To the omnipresent world
Upon a simple whim
In which all hope is curled
A break in reality
To keep one's sanity
And escape all the fallacies
Created by vanity
The muscles ease
Along with the mind
With a dream's tease
At what you may find
In a place with no time
Wishes may wander
Without reason or rhyme
While one continues to ponder
A beautiful gift from the brain
Assassinated by the coming of morning
