lovelorn in suburbia MAG
the turn signal keeps beat with
my pulse.
i may have swallowed a large stone,
or possibly a paper weight went down
by mistake.
the invisible ribbon around my ribs
is tied a bit too tight.
i pass three small children on bikes
within two miles of my house.
two boys fishing,
one small pond
one big pond.
is that a box kite in the
distance?
the ribbon pulls tighter
we may have been perfect.
