that night
He sits in the dark room
listening to his music
wanting to bury his pain
he wishes he could've done something ANYTHING
He remembers the look
in her eyes as
she struggled for air
he rembers holding her cold hands
feeling her pulse slow down
he turns the music up louder
and louder, and louder
he hears a knock at the door
he ignores it. he turns
up the music up louder
he remembers her face covers in cuts and blood
he wants to forget
he wants to run
he wants to be free like the wind
he'll do anything. to forget
THAT NIGHT
