I Pray For My Cousin
I pray for my cousin who is in jail
Waiting to get out of his cell
He was blamed for a crime that can’t be explained
But yet he still took the shame.
He calls every night disgusted by the food
Dreaming about the day he gets to play pool
Months go by and his body gets built
But the pain in his head grows worse from all his guilt.
Only four months left
After he made a grand theft
“What’s that I hear” Time is Up!
His face lit and he said “That’s What’s Up”.
