Final Act
Falling tears, broken glass
the curtin falls, your final act.
should have stopped asked for help,
then there'ld be a second act.
the fire's gone, the light is out
blackend heart, up in smoke
what you need, is all you think
jump in water, slowly sink
Always acting, never true
never let your colors through
now glass surounds your broken heart
can't start over, can't restart
Your lifes an act, a play that ends
a standing ovation, the offer extends.
th curtin falls you take a breath,
you know this is your final act.
you think you're an actor,
just a small role
didnt know its about you
tragic, sorry and true
I wish this play didnt end so sadly,
you forgot your role, screwing up badly
The curtin fell early, to hide your mistakes,
what an awful final act this makes.
The hidden plot begins to unfold
The rest of the story, finally told
the writer was you, not anyone else
You did this yourself, your final act
you lay on the street
surrounded by glass
the curtin falls,
your final act.
Falling tears, broken glass
the curtin falls, your final act.
should have stopped asked for help,
then there'ld be a second act.
