I have an indelible memory in the summer of 2022. A group of friends and I travelled to the Danba County in the eastern part of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province, which its special geographical location and historical background brought about abundant contents of musical culture. To be honest, I was not extremely excited about the documentary production on the way to Danba, rather treating it as a great experience to try out something I have never done before. With the tanka "Melody" as a start of my "Danba Trilogy", I was truly amazed by the arduous people of Danba, therefore depicting the scene of them dancing and singing on the pure land.
