Zeus, Free Tickets, and Flamingos

June 14, 2009
Withered with time

Calloused, dry

Caressing a newfound lover

Heaven: cotton candy flavored clouds, sunset kissing the sea, endless ride on the carousel

Stop and look at me
Why so many stored behind your back?

There’s a carousel over there
Can I ride?

Dark, demeaning eyes tell me that heavens not for little kids

Casted out like a green flamingo
