Balances of Light and Dark This work has been published in the Teen Ink monthly print magazine.

A room drowning in the dark
A crack of light flooding in,
Soaking the nearest crevasses.

Chaotically moving across the mirrors,
Into the walls of hazel eyes,
I am still alive.

Falling into originality?
I myself, am this unsure,
When no one really knows you,
How do you know yourself?

A room full of brightness,
Dark lines flooding in,
Soaking the lifelines of hazel canvases.

Looking in the mirror,
Reflection unbalanced, yet standing reminiscent,
And I am still living.
