More Than a Dream

I had a dream,
A mystical dream,
Of a saphire blue dragon,
Soaring and roaring
Above in the sky,
The night time sky,
With the flickering
Candle flame stars
Reflecting off of her lustrous scales,
Her rose petal sacles,
While she belches forth
A great stream
Of her blue-and-white fire,
Her sparkling fire,
But perhaps it was
More than a dream.

I had a dream,
A magical dream,
Of many little fairies,
Flittering and fluttering
Around their shimmering glade,
Their moon-lit glade,
Teasing the many colored
Flowers into showing
Their pretty petals,
Their beautiful petals,
While occaisionally
I might glimpse
A pale, upturned face,
A fair, fairy face,
But perhaps it was
More than a dream.

I had a dream,
A mystical dream,
Of an elven lady,
Dancing and laughing
With a bell like laugh,
A musical laugh,
While she moves and
No sounds sound in the night,
And her inhuman grace,
Her elegant grace,
Carries her away from me
Through the darkness
Of a pine wood forest,
An endless pine wood forest,
But perhaps it was
More than a dream.

I awoke in a glade,
A shimmering, moon-lit glade,
On top of many colored flowers
That showed their pretty petals,
And I was surrounded by scales,
Blue, rose petal scales,
And the echoes of
A bell like, musical laugh
Echoes through the pine wood forest,
The endless pine wood forest,
And I saw a majestic dragon,
And I saw many winged fairies,
And I saw an elven lady,
The mystic, magic, and mythic faces,
So they really were
More than a dream.

Love love love it! And I'm not just saying that to be nice, I really do.
Rarely do I find poems with all of my favorite fantasy creatures.
And the repetitious words made it flow so much easier and made it even more special.
Fantastic job!

I'm so glad you liked it!
I love fantasy and science fiction, and I was bored, so I decided to start writing. AFter several tries, I perfected this poem.

Haha! This embodied what my wish for my dreams. I wish they were real like this, but it's probably not going to happen :'(. Good job. I can't think of any constructive criticism, sorry. Would you mind looking at what I've written?
Keep writing!

*laughs* There's nothing wrong with reading a poem twice! Believe me! I do it all the time!

Thank you so much! You are extremely nice. I'm glad you like my poetry so!

I promise you, I will never, EVER, stop writing. I love to write, and I can't help but to do just that. Unlike nearly everyone I know, I think writing IS fun. I don't care what others say.

This is beautiful. I love the figurative language and the lyrical flow of the poem. It tells a story and paints a lovely picture of a dream that we all hope to experience, a dream that we hope will never end.

This is a journey poem. It shows that if you dream about it, and beleive it, it really is, if you get my meaning. Everyone I showed this to before I put it on here loved it, and said this was my best one yet.

I like the images it brings to mind. But I am not sure of the meaning behind it

My my, I must say you have won my heart for favorites so far. I have only read three of your poems and I don't think I can look upon the work of others with as much excitement comapred to the work of what you have. Please don't stop writing. This one was fun and writing is, sometimes, all about having fun. ;)
