The Evil Creature
So many in need
No one there to stop their suffering
Ill – fated souls, living in a world full of greed
Like a nagging insect, the famine sticks to them
Hunger so big the stomach feels full
Disease spreading so fast we hear nothing but a whoosh
Their misery beyond belief
Life a battle of survival, never getting a moments relief
On our side, money does nothing but cackle
Has brought down all humanity into a tackle
Everything in abundance, yet we want more
The poor wanting nothing but a house with a front door
Time to put this treacherous creature in the dark shade
As we reassure our brothers and sisters there is no need to be afraid
We will not let another person die
To poverty we will say goodbye
