Red, the color of bright blood, flowing out the bodies of soldiers,
Peasants gather round the pyre, holding hands wailing o’ woe us,

Orange, the color of flames that engulfed our homes in a rage,
Taking the lives of many and leaving the rest in a cage,

Yellow, the color of the bright sun as it smiles down carelessly
As the bodies of our fearless fighters pile up mercilessly,

Green, the color of nature and the color of grass
Now stained down to the roots and made to look brass

Blue, the color of a cloudless sky and the vast ocean,
Now is clouded by all the bloody commotion,

Violet, the color of round, ripe grapes
As they sour and fall whilst the enemy draws the drapes

The colors of the rainbow which once made our island a paradise,
Is strangled by filthy hands-our homes  are taken over by PARASITES!!

I was inspired to write this poem based on situations happening around the world. This poem is speaking about war and how the beauty of life overall is diminished because of the killing of everyone and everything.
