I've heard so many say
That Change is coming soon,
It was hard to believe at first
Until last year's afternoon.

I knew it was coming,
A monument hard to escape -
It thrust itself in front of me
And found myself of late.

Change can be good sometimes
If you're ready and prepared;
It's just a mountain ready to climb
But may leave you cold and scared.

There really is quite a range
Of good and bad to come;
For one must jump to reach for Change
And grab hold of some.

This poem relates to the transition of one presidency to the next, as our economy in the end of 2008 and part of 2009 seemed overcome with drastic declines, which corrupt my family's comfidence.
