Child, remember what your daddy told you,
To be honest, fair, and faithfull.
Child, remember what your mommy told you,
To be courteous, kind, and playfull.

Don't strain to find out who you are,
It will come in time.
All we are is a bit of magic, grit and grime.
If plans change, and often they do,
Remember your Mom and Dad,
To see your way through.

thanks for the kind words...I was writing these poems when I was going through a break-up so that's why most are melancholy...I am not really posting any more of my poems here because for the website's censorship nazi issues but I'll be sure to check out some of your poems. Thanks for reading.
