I didn't feel like wearing make-up

Look at my eyes
So bland and gray,
guess they don't
feel green today

Look at my skin
So pale and plain
I think it might
have died again

Look at my hair
All curly and dull
What's wrong?
This isn't me at all

Oh my gosh!
Stop the press!
Someone needs
To get a picture of this!

Is that who's there
Behing the make-up?
Just a minute,
Let me pick my jaw up

What's the big deal?
I just felt lazy
You guys are acting
Like you're crazy

I think I'm offended
I'm not sure
I'm assuming this means
I don't meet your approval

Just wait till tomorrow
The make-up will be back
Just wanted to see
How you would react

I am so going to try this in a few days! I think I won't wear my contacts either. Then it'll be back to zits (no concealer) and big Harry Potter-sized glasses for the day. It's going to be hilarious!!!

I love this. I wasn't even allowed to wear make-up till recently and I don't care for it much, but the reaction I got when I started, not when I didn't wear it was priceless. Bravo.

I love it! The sarcasm is totally there. Even as a non-makeup-wearer I enjoyed it a lot! The meter changes rapidly in the last two stanzas and it kinda threw me off...but other than that, I think it's a very fun, lighthearted poem.

Oh yes, I can certainly feel the sarcastic and lighthearted vibe to this poem. I think the first verse is my favourite. When you begin to describe the classmates' reactions it gets a wee bit confusing.
I personally like it when people go "au natural". Anyhow, whatever floats your boat. :)
