Frozen Lake of Curses
What monster have I become?
I stare into the crystal ice,
Disgusted by the face of my
 Past, and new personality,
Which belongs in a place where
 Happiness ceases.

For the sake of future prevention,
I must know a way to reverse
The hostility and loneliness of this curse.

There is no erasing; only recovering.
What’s been lost must be found,
And atrocities of the past cannot be forgotten,
 But perhaps accepted,
 In order to move on.

So the frozen glass will slowly
 Warm by the sun,
And when the reminder of regrets is thin,
 I’ll take a dive in
 And crack the ice-
 Enough for a rebirth
That will push me towards the sun!
