I've never felt this way before,
I love you more than anything.
You meant so much,
I long for your touch,
your laugh,
your smile,
your eyes.

Unfortunatley you don't feel the same.
As fun as it was, my heart is not a game.
You played with it far too long.
I'm hurt so hurt, so mad, so I write this song.

The other guy must be great,
considering you keep messing with fait.
Our fait is being together,
its bound to happen.

Oh how I thought that before what you did.
You built me a staircase with your perfection.
I took a step every time we laughed, smiled, or kissed.
I took a step everytime we touched.
I reached the tip top of the stairs,
higher than heaven.

The decision you made was a fire.
A fire that threw the staircase up in flames.
Each step burned into ashes.
Each step burned away.

And, I, held up so high,
fell.
Fell harder than ever before into the darkness below.

The inspiration of this piece was actually when the girl I liked, liked me and someone else. Long story short, she had to pick someone, she chose him. I was so mad so I took out my notebook and pen, and what you see is what I wrote.
