Marshmallows MAG

By Anonymous

I keep all thoughts of you
Under the heavy veil of the past
Squished between old memories
Of mud cakes and crafts
Tucked under stale dreams
Somewhere between remembering how
Marshmallows taste, all stuck to the
Roof of your mouth and
Bloated,
Seeping with hot chocolate
I keep all thoughts of us
Stored along with the songs
I’d sing as I danced under a wet sky
Shoved beneath the fragrance of
innocence and youth
Smelling so slightly of apple sauce
and Chiclets gum
I remember blowing my first bubble
Somehow I won’t remember you
