Look at your life, look at the people, the people, the people.
The people that constantly care about you, the people that lucidly lie to you, the people that crazily confuse you, the people that longingly love you.
And learn from these people, take things from these people, these lovers, these liars, these “carers”, these “confusers”.
Let them teach you; let them help you grow and know
Your strengths, your weaknesses, your dreams, yourself.
Self-interest is what the focus on, so you focus on it too.
And screw what they think about you because they screw what you think too.
So stop looking to please them, to tease them,
To change them, to rearrange
Your life for them because they-
Who are they anyway?
Just people like me and you doing what people do, trying to stay true
To their inner selves today, getting lost along the way,
Trying to find a say in their own lives and not becoming just a part of society,
Like you and me,
But wait- who are we?
