I Wrote This For You
I wrote this cliché just for you,
I cut it from your paper and used your glue.
I’ve realized that everything I do each day
Is because of you, I like it that way.
I'm in the shallow end of a deep river,
You’ve clothed me in security, so I will no longer shiver.
We’ll gaze at the rain pass by, while the roses thrive,
And summer's own glimmers in our faultless smile.
Certainly, it’ll be like this for more than a while
The cotton cushions my perpetual dream;
Of sharing warmth while staring into your widened eyes
As times passes us by free of any thoughtless lies.
You've created infinity quite well darling.
The season’s gentle wind will commence our sway.
While our knees curve and our fingers interlace,
We’ll begin a new forever each single day.
I’ll write each memory ever so slightly so you can simply trace.
We’ll swim together in this endless river,
Within each other’s arms we’ll forget to shiver
We’ll smile as the rain follows behind, and while the roses arrive,
Summer’s own begins to grin thanks to our faultless smile.
Certainly, it’ll be like this for more than a while
