It all started great
The beginning of the year and there was no hate.

I made tons of new friends
An effort was even made so the broken friendships could mend.

And then there was this boy
He brought me so much joy.

Little did I know that it would become another one of the failed relationships
I slowly grew bitterer with my hands at my hips.

The bitterness became anger and anger became hate
When I realized what some friends did, I became very irate.

They betrayed my trust
Our friendship now is more than ready to bust.

Some of them I forgave
But for others of them, I will take my grudge to the grave.

They wonder what they did wrong
I finally realized what I should have all along.

Trust isn’t something to be given away
There are always those people who will take it just to betray.

I don’t need that in my life
The only thing they ever gave me was betrayal and strife.

I guess it’s true what they say
High school brings new drama every single day.
