You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension - a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You're moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You've just crossed over into the Twilight Zone.

He walks Oakland’s labyrinthine streets! A flaming bolt of fire
Infiltrates his skull!
A rivulet of crimson pools
As he staggers and
Catches a glimpse of the Ferrari F40
Whose driver just tossed a coin of fate.

My poem depicts the perspective of a person who is shot and killed in a drive by shooting. The poem is set in Oakland where the rate of violent crimes are very high.
