Suppose my mother was a broken mirror
Shattered to a million pieces
Each more jagged than the next
But somehow she will manage
To put all the pieces together
She’ll be back as new
You would have never known that she was broken
And when you look into her
You’ll see the truth
This piece has been published in Teen Ink’s monthly print magazine.
