I am from beautiful gardens turned to fresh green grass
From cleaning supplies and Snoopy mailboxes
I am from sweet potatoes at every holiday
From kitchen play sets and Krabby Patties
I am from double swing sets and kindergarten cubbies
From tennis with the best friend to Slurpees and 7 Eleven
I am from long beach days to nights on the roof
With my best friend under the stars
Singing our hearts out to our favorite song
While days pass by too quickly for us to count

I am from dances on Pointe and water slides
From teal walls with dogs and horns
I am from sweaters with poodles and Barbie pajamas
From mountains of dishes and All Time Low
I am from pennies thrown down a floor at the mall and quacking sounds
From sewing machines and chocolate fountains
I am from secret valentines and streets in the sky
From linoleum floors and white houses

I am from saying goodbye when it's way too hard
From recitals long ago and chasing boys I could never have
I am from ice tea spitting across the table and big city dreams
From little birds flying in my room to hills rolling on for miles
I am from songs in coffee shops and Panera Bread
From party scenes and movies in the basement
On lazy, summer days when the Sun hides from me

We've got all the time in the world
To make room for the memories
That have not yet been created
But keep the memories that
Have kept us going all these years
