Before I Die

Before I close my eyes
For the very last time
I want to look back
And have no regret
I want to fall in love
And be loved in return
Someone to hold me close
Or hand me a rose
I want to start a family
Four kids by my side
To care for until time
Stops my heart inside
I want to have a legacy
A reason people remember me
To change the life of a few
Or maybe only two
I want to have memories
When I look back I smile
Moments I will cherish
Every once in a while
So as I close my eyes
For the very last time
I know the reason I lived
And I am proud of it
