Kiss the Sky
Those perfect hours spent gazing upon thee,
Sitting to watch many of thee float by,
On hot days I remain for thee to see,
Waiting and watching the vast spacious sky.
O! The hours lingering in my mind,
Gazing upward as the heavens open,
Light streaming through thee with a breeze so kind,
Forgetting to wonder where thou hast been.
Living in the moment with thy shadows;
When thou hast gone away with the gale winds,
I wait for thy return in the meadows,
Hoping that in this moment time rewinds.
To get a glimpse of thee is what I try;
Seeing thee makes me want to kiss the sky.
