First Time
You look back and remember,
Remember the day,
The day you gave your heart away.
In a parking lot, in his car.
In the front seat, in the dark.
Your hearts beat faster,
your temperatures rise.
Nervousness grows,
confidence dies.
And yet, you continue.
You can't stop now.
You're lost in the moment.
You don't know how.
You can't fight your feelings.
You can't calm down.
The world stops around you.
There's not a sound.
Passion surrounds you.
Awareness subsides.
Don't care where you're going,
hearts break and divide.
Now you're one with him.
He's a part of you.
Can't undo the past moment.
It was all up to you.
All thats left,
is to move on.
You made your choices,
what's done is done.
All that remains,
is your restless heart.
