Summer Days
Summer
When winter ends…. and spring fades
Oh, how I wait for the time when it does, to feel the hot breeze of summer on my face
To hear the children rejoice because summer vacation has begun and school has ended
To see the freeness on their face and the playfulness in their laughter singing praise of summer days
Oh, how I wait for the times that it brings of happiness and heartbreaks of summer loves the hello and goodbyes as summer flies
Oh, how I wait for everything that summer brings to be free of everything that follows and haunts me laughing and taunting me
With the cold nights of winter and rainy days of spring
Oh, how I wait for the joy that summer brings.
Oh I wait for those sweet summer days.
