To Be Free

There is not much I’ve had to endure,
However, of this I am quite sure
That throughout the day, and throughout the night
Everyone is present, yet all out of sight
Travelling without purpose in every way
Throughout the night, and throughout the day
We travel up and down the floral roads
Without noticing a single rose
This rose shall always grow
And if I have but one thing to know
It is that its beauty is forgotten
As our minds constantly grow rotten
Full of sorrow, full of hate
And our once warm hearts
Now covered with a cold steel plate
So now I will go throughout my day
Go through the night as well I’d say
Always now aware, mes aimes
That to see is to truly be free.
