Sadness Sinks

When sadness hits
It sinks like lead
Washing over you
While aching your head

It sinks into the pit
Of your stomach
And burrows deep
It makes itself a happy home
And is anchored

When sadness hits
It’s like a cyclone
With the only remedy
Being a loose mind
