Just So Good

You've gotten so good at holding me in
Sometimes I forget what the world is like
Deep inside the echoes of my imagination
I pretend that you are real and that I exist

Pain is really only a figment of the nerves
Just forget it and you'll never get hurt
So go on, keep on causing me agony
It’s the only way I can keep a smile on my face

I don't remember who you are
I don't know who exactly you've become
A shadow of your soul, why can't you find
That silver lining of the cloud, baby its not hard

You've gotten so good at leaving me
Sometimes I forget what its like to have you
Deep inside the forges of my sanctuary
I pretend that you love me and that I can feel

Love is really only something in made up fairy tales
Just forget it and you'll learn a lesson worth the time
So go on, keep on causing me pain
It’s the only way I can keep a smile on my face

I don't recall what happened with us
I don't realize that you don't want me at all
Just that bit of cushion I can provide
On your long way down, my fallen angel

You've gotten so good at leaning on me
Sometimes I forget what its like to be alone
Deep inside the passions of my sea struck soul
I pretend that you don't depend on me and I need you

Crying is really the most useless thing my eyes crave
Just forget it and I still can't make myself laugh again
So go on, keep on causing me anguish
It's the only way I can keep a smile on my face

I don't want to feel this way again
I don't think that chances happen more than once a lifetime
You use to hold me in your arms and I knew
How much I was necessary for your sanity, I still am
