Who Would've Known That
Who would’ve know that
Fires burning,
people killing and children passing.
Sunshine dies and night explodes.
Who would’ve know that
Faces droop and tears fall daily.
Rusted needles and burned out pipes fill our landfills.
Sirens and strobe lights encage our streets.
Sunsets appear beautiful-
but behind the beauty lies layers of debris.
Who would’ve know that
Liquid poison enters the bodies of mindless individuals.
Bellies of young women carry things they can’t support.
Lacking skeletons whither away, day-by-day.
Blood bleeds slowly from years of distress and conflict.
Who would’ve know that
the world would have turned out like this.
