In The Moment
One moment at a time,
the mother watches her growing.
The girl wonders why her mom looks at her so
and when the girl asks, she replies
just enjoying this moment dear one
They hike one day
and the little girl
is covered from head to toe
with plump, blackberries
covering her small body.
She laughs as her young voice
echoes down the rocky valley walls.
She licks the juice of her hands.
As they climb back down the cliffs
They smile as they live in this single moment.
