On those lazy Saturday mornings
When all I want is to eat my cereal in peace
You scamper around the house
Decked out in your penguin pajamas
And your rainbow socks
Swift like a squirrel
Running through the kitchen
Until you slip on the tile floor
But you just lay there
Your body is flat
But your laugh is rabid
And it swims in the air
Like an infinite echo
Rattling the milk in my bowl
