There’s a day
This day is May
Trees turn green
Flowers pop out
Kids play in the streets

The hillside turn brown
With the snow melt
Then green
When the aspens pop
All that’s left are the half pipe and jumps

The familiar sound of lawn mowers
Buzzing in the distance
Then the fresh cut grass smell
In the air

Schools are nearing the end
The epidemic of spring fever without the school
Teacher start bringing class out side

The creeks roar with water
As the hillside is uncovered from its ice blanket
The sun is warm
Sweat shirts turn into t-shirts
Jeans turn into shorts

These days in May
Are the best days
So enjoy May
Before it goes away
