It’s a hard knock life when change is left undone
And the streets is the only place for us to run

It’s a hard knock life when mommy’s in the kitchen
And daddy’s gone in the streets ditchin’

It’s a hard knock life when education is not an option
And that drugs and money are our only concoction

But there is a conclusion
People come and people go
We get opportunities, we either reject them or connect with them
Fortunately, we can get a second chance and advance
