I've lain here all night
But sleep is hard to catch
The waking world lurks
On the tips of my dreams
I've lain here all night
Twisting stories in my head
The fingers of inspiration
Forever working
Never resting
I've dreamed all these years
With no helper at my side
Only my characters
I do this for them
And so here I am
Forever working
Never resting
But I complete nothing
Hiding away here
In my midnight oasis
I feel your hand in mine
I'm not alone at all
What if I'm not alone

I feel the same way. This happens to me too all the time. I lay awake and my thoughts run wild, thinking about inventions or a piece of art I want to create
