No Face to Face

I hid for so long
crouched behind every space
but alas I came to find
I had no face

I shattered every mirror
burnt out every light
locked all my doors and windows
shut out the world in fright

I hid for so long
my home was dreary inside
but still I feared the fear I felt
so to my home I will abide

I wanted to face them all
get out of this place
maybe there is another like me?
One without a face

I opened the door
and breathed it all in
so long it had been
I had hid from the world
in this place
for I had no face to face
